Best Life Sober Living
Lighthouse Recovery is an abstinence based 12 Step Sober House for men ages 18 and older. Each guest is required to work the 12 Steps as they are laid out in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous as well as attend 3 to 5 12 Step meetings each week. We offer in-house meetings that focus on meditation, education around addiction and recovery, as well as goal-oriented accountability. Due to the withdrawn nature of addiction, residents at Lighthouse Recovery are required to work or volunteer no less than 20 hours each week. We maintain a zero tolerance policy toward all substance use that is ensured through random drug testing and breathalyzing. We recommend each guest stay for a minimum of 3 to 6 months in order to build a strong foundation in recovery before fully integrating back into the community.

Our Philosophy towards recovery
We believe that long term recovery from addiction is possible by establishing a meaningful identity both individually and communally. Addiction is best understood not as a moral or ethical disease but as a symptom of disconnection. Living in a state of disconnection results in suffering which ultimately drives one to seek comfort. For some, this comfort is sought through drugs and alcohol. If these behaviors become habit than addiction or alcoholism often develops. An unfortunate consequence of seeking comfort through drugs and alcohol is an increased degree of disconnection. As addiction progresses, one’s disconnection comes to envelop his relationship to himself, family and friends, community, emotions, and a spiritual life. Thus, effective treatment must foster healing at each of these levels. Awareness that each person has individual circumstances informs our approach so that we can provide the most effective support and guidance into holistic recovery.

- Coming out of a treatment facility, I was lucky enough to be recommended to Lighthouse. Taking the next steps in my recovery probably wouldn't have happened so smoothly if not for the support of this house and the people in it. With a 12 Step basis, I had the opportunity to continue my progress with a bunch of guys sharing the same interests. With progress and a safe living condition, I'm happy to say I'm making steps to a healthy future. I can't express my appreciation enough.Ryan, Sobriety date May 17, 2019
